Taking off from mythological and allegorical characters we created a ritual celebrating music and art at the last breath of humanity. But to me it came to be just as much about the individuals behind the masks and cameras. This was our ritual. We created our monument.”

Memoarer som i sin hårda men spruckna poesi svävar längst ut på kanten, kongenialt med den erfarenhet som gör allt för att undslippa beskrivning. En urban ond saga för sann att ljugas ihop. Konkreta sånger hos den som alltid bär dem inom sig.

En biografi skriven liksom av sprickorna i folkhemsfasaden. Stockholms topografi, sedd från undersidan.

I rummet in till vänster står liten tv.

Tror att den är trasig för den visar bara myrornas krig. Han tar en 5 millimeters Poscapenna, skriver över krigande myror, ” I varje hjärta armt och mörkt”. När lägenheten byggs om flyttar han och hans boyfriend ut. De flög förbi, lyste upp mitt hjärta.

Där hjärtat är varmt vill jag bo för där känns allt mindre fult.

Ingen bryr sig egentligen om någon annan än sig själv.
Fast lite obehagligt blir det när Deme öppnar väskan han snott ifrån Pickupmannen. Väskan innehåller bara vassa saker.Tur att du inte följde med gubben säger nån.
Jag sitter mest och är skitförbannad på att jag inte blev insläppt på Public Enemy.
Ingen kan köra bilen.

So there was Service: free zone, pop lab, gang turf, permanent vacation.

With no particular ambition, but with a strange confidence, some kind of culture was created and (dis)organized. Actions were taken, spontaneously but in a certain direction. And Service rapidly developed into the leading designer of Swedish pop in the early 21st century.

”The inevitability of death and the transience and vanity of earthly achievements and pleasures. The themes of 17th century vanitas paintings (where symbols of art, science and earthly pleasures are put against symbols of death) are as timely as ever in this age. I give you a vanitas for the 21st century, created by video-projections on threedimensional objects. A still-life painted white in a darkened room brought to life by a technique sometimes called ”video-mapping”, meaning I have mapped the video-projections to fit the actual objects. Before the objects were painted white they were photographed, then animations were based on the photographs and projected back onto the objects and filmed. An illusion of reality arise.”
